Take the Dicot Farm Buy Local Challenge by July 29th for a chance to win free veggies!

To celebrate the Maryland Buy Local Challenge week, we want to know what delicious meals you are making with the local ingredients you buy, and reward you with more yummy local ingredients. Here’s how our contest works:

  • Take a photo of a dish (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks, deserts…) you make with local ingredients (veggies, fruit, eggs, dairy, meat, fish, etc.). We’d love it if some of the ingredients are from Dicot Farm but it’s not required!
  • Post your photo to your Facebook and/or Instagram account between July 17th and Sunday, July 29th at midnight ET. In order for your post to be seen, your Instagram account must be public and/or Facebook photos must be public.
  • Make sure you use the hashtag #dicotfarmloveslocal in your post. We encourage you to tag @dicotfarm and any local producers and markets whose ingredients are featured. It will also be helpful if you caption the photo with links or details on your recipe so we and others can replicate it! And veggie puns are ALWAYS appreciated 🙂
  • By August 1st, we’ll pick our favorite post/recipe and announce a winner. The winner will receive $10 worth of free veggies next time you visit Dicot Farm at one of our markets! (We may also feature some of the posted photos and recipes in future newsletters or at our market stand)

We also encourage you to take the Maryland Buy Local Challenge in addition to our contest, and participate in the many events celebrating local food going on these next two weeks!
